Brandon Martin

Guitar / Bass Instructor

With 19 years experience on guitar and 10 years stage and performance experience, Brandon Martin is excited to share and introduce students at Folsom Music Lessons to the bag of tricks he’s been able to collect over the years. Brandon has been teaching guitar for 10 years through his own private practice as well as with some other notable music schools around Sacramento teaching children and adults of all ages. Ever since Brandon received his first guitar at the age of 12, it’s been nonstop music since. After years of lessons and finding some new musical inspiration, he finally decided to start a band of his own: a metal band named Salythia. In Salythia, Brandon had the privilege of being able to travel all around the states and share the stage with some of the most notable acts in metal today such as Trivium, Animals as Leaders, Suicide Silence, Escape the Fate, Chelsea Grin, Chon, and many more! Whether you’re looking to start a band or just picking up the guitar for fun, you can rest assure that Brandon will do all he can to progressively bring your goals to fruition. Using a song first approach when teaching, Brandon introduces technique and guitar knowledge through the song itself. Outside of teaching and writing music, Brandon is an avid video game nerd and loves spending time with his pup Nimbus. Other than teaching music theory and working on technique, Brandon’s goal is to instill a sense of music appreciation and to leave students with a positive mindset and a long-lasting musical impact on their lives.
